Today was a productive day...I'm preparing for my upcoming group show in Italy at Mondo Bizarro Gallery and also for Art Basel, Miami. Some days flow like water.

First i took some self portraits for body positioning. Here's the one i chose to work from. After that i started on a

pre-gessoed panel that had a number of layers of paint already laid down over the past month for texture. I began working on this panel about 2-3 weeks ago to prepare it for this stage of painting.

After I got some underpainting for my figurative work down, i laid down some skin colored paint and did 3 layers of skintone and hard features so that it would show through until the end of the painting. This helps me keep it accurate.
